Submission Guidelines

Your image should be your logo (head shot or product photo would be acceptable). Square photos look the best on the site if you are paying to be a featured business. Photos that are taller look great in the regular listing section.

Do not place images in the text description of your listing. You may upload 6 images using the image upload function. Your image must be under 2MB in size. The image at the top of the list will be used as your main image for the listing.

You may upload and change your listing images as often as you like.

Please ensure that you have the permission to use all images before uploading them. Do not violate the copyright by using images that you do now own or have permission to use.

If you have a physical location for your business, enter it into the location field on your listing. Users can search by location, so this is a big advantage.

If you have a home-based business and you do not want to make your address public you can just enter your City and State.

You can update your listing as often as you would like. Be sure to include and update all live links to social media accounts, websites and blogs. Be sure to use the events calendar
and the google map tool!

How do I update my listing?
You will receive a confirmation email with instructions and a password after you complete your submission. When you log into the directory, you will see a “Manage Your Listing” link in the sidebar. Click the link to access your listing dashboard.

Can I reinstate my listing if it expires?
Your listing will automatically renew unless you go into your PayPal account and cancel the recurring payments. If you do choose to cancel the recurring payments, your listing will stay active through the purchased time period and will then expire. You can renew the listing at any time through the listing dashboard.

How do I use my Vend Raleigh Directory badge?
In your confirmation email you will receive a 125 by 125 pixel image that you can use to display on the sidebar of your website or blog. This brings attention to you clients that you are actively involved in Vend Raleigh, a leader in the community of a unique
group of business minded moms! (Please be sure that you link to image back to the directory, this will increase your site’s SEO.)

How do I include my business as a “featured listing”?
Go to the listing dashboard by clicking the Manage Your Listings link. Click the gear icon next to your listing and select Add Ons. Select Featured Listings. Once purchased, your listing displays in a scrolling slider on the directory homepage. The fee is a one time $5. You are welcome to come back at any time to resubmit a featured listing request.

Use the events calendar to promote any of your public speaking engagements, vender fairs, gallery events, expo participants, etc.
(No private events please.) All calendar events submissions will go through approval, then posted. Please contact Cary@VendRaleigh.com for specific questions about event submissions.

How do I add an event to the Events Calendar?
Log into the Directory site. Go to the calendar page and click Post Your Event. Complete the form and be sure to choose an Event Category. Click Publish and your event will be submitted for approval. (Public events only, please.)

Your $35 annual subscription fee will be set for automatic annual renewal through PayPal. To end your listing subscription, log into your PayPal account and cancel the subscription.

Can I include personal information in my business description?
Absolutely! Feel free to introduce your business and then yourself as a business woman of Raleigh! Not only will this directory be used publicly, but also within the Vend Raleigh group. We very much encourage getting to know one another professionally and on a personal level. There is no limit to the amount of text you can include in your listing.

How do I change my password?
Click the Profile option in the navigation bar on the left. You can change your account information there. Changes to your profile will not change your listing, just your system user information.

What’s the fine print?
By submitting a directory listing you are agreeing that you are a local Mom Owned business. If there is misuse, Vend Raleigh reserves the right to remove your listing from the directory. Listings are non-refundable and non-transferable. We do have promotion opportunities for Friends of Vend Raleigh, please contact Cary@VendRaleigh.com.
