Empty Frames Initiative is inspired and driven by the heart of the Father.
We believe everyone is created with a purpose.
Our goal is to empower orphaned and vulnerable youth with discipleship,
training in life skills and a supportive community.
Around the world youth aging out of state care are put into vulnerable positions. It’s not uncommon for kids to age out, try to navigate this new road on their own, and then become susceptible to traffickers, get involved in criminal life, or commit suicide. We are looking challenge cultural paradigms and invite people to take part in filling empty frames.
We carry an international vision and, by the Lord’s grace, we are beginning in Raleigh, NC.
Raleigh Women’s Ministry
Our vision: The ONLY meaningful way to make a difference in the eyes of God starts with knowing Him personally through His Son Jesus Christ. We teach women and girls how to KNOW God personally – not merely knowing about Him. We do this under four pillars Relationship, Marriage, Parenting, and Impact.
Tara Furman is the founder of Knowing God Ministries, Inc., a nonprofit women’s ministry whose passion is to help women hear and see Jesus in their everyday lives. As a speaker and author, Tara has helped hundreds of women develop their own personal relationship with Jesus.
Oh Lord Help Us encourages and teaches women who to be who they were created to be. Throughout our lives we have been bombarded with lies. We need to replace those lies with God’s truth.
Oh Lord Help Us gives writings, bible studies, speaking, and physical reminders to show women they are loved, pursued, redeemed, beautiful, and enough.
Transforming Hope strives to EDUCATE the general public on the issue of human trafficking, PREVENT exploitation from becoming a reality for children in the Triangle, and help to RESTORE the lives of children and their families who have already been affected by human trafficking.
Through education, we have trained more than 3,000 individuals on the issue of human trafficking, how to recognize it, and how to respond to a potential victim. Those educated include law enforcement, medical professionals, Wake County school nurses, W.I.C. workers, volunteer mentors in Durham County schools, teens, and the general public.
Through prevention, we’ve created a 45-minute workshop for middle and high school students to equip and empower them to value others and avoid being lured into human trafficking. In September, 2015, we also helped pass a law that states all middle and high schools in NC shall provide awareness and prevention of human trafficking to their students.
Through restoration, we are developing and building a wrap-around program. This program utilizes collaborations around the Triangle to “wrap around” a family in need of holistic care after experiencing the trauma of being exploited.
